Candice B. Lewis

Principal Auditor

Candice started a career at Duke 2005-2009, then returned to Duke in 2021 after a career sabbatical to be home with family. In her role as principal auditor, Candice plans and executes audits identified through institutional risk assessments or by request of Duke University stakeholders. Previously, Candice worked as both senior auditor and audit manager for the Duke Office of Internal Audits. She started her career with Deloitte in Audit and  Assurance and performed financial audits for utilities, manufacturing, public services and banking industry clients.

Candice holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (2002); a Master of Science in Accountancy (2003); and is a Certified Internal Auditor.
