Principal Auditor
Cole joined Duke in 2025 as a Principal Auditor on the Sponsored Programs Assurance and Research Compliance team. Prior to Duke, Cole worked in internal audit at various companies in the healthcare sector for 7 years. While in these roles, he was responsible for leading operational audits, Sarbanes Oxley testing, direct assist with external auditors and advisory projects.
Prior to starting a career as an internal auditor, Cole was a member of the football team at Guilford College, including the 2014 conference championship team. He received several academic awards including being named to the CoSIDA academic all-district team and being awarded the National Football Foundation Hampshire award.
Cole holds an MBA from East Carolina University, a B.S. from Guilford College, and is a Certified Internal auditor (CIA)
