Sponsored Programs Assurance and Research Compliance Auditor

Emil joined Duke in 2021 as a Sponsored Programs Assurance and Research Compliance Auditor. His role focuses on research compliance within the university, allowing him to collaborate with clinical research units to raise overall compliance across the university’s research programs. Prior to Duke, Emil worked at the University of Miami for seven years (2013-2020) in clinical research and as a quality assurance (QA) auditor for research compliance, assisting study teams and departments by providing guided lessons on research compliance as well as remediation for any QA issues. Emil also served as a U.S. Marine for five years (2000-2005) with two wartime deployments in Iraq (2004-2005).

Emil holds a Bachelor of Science (George Mason, 2010); and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC)
