Shared Services Audit Manager
After joining Duke in 2022 as a principal auditor shared resource, Sandra was promoted to shared services audit manager supporting the University Audit, Sponsored Programs Assurance and Research Compliance (SPARC), and Compliance Services teams. For the University Audit team, Sandra will perform operational, integrated audits and business process review to make internal control recommendations; with the SPARC team, Sandra will primarily focus on compliance assurance for Duke’s sponsored programs; and for Compliance Services, Sandra will primarily focus on incident investigations.
Prior to Duke, Sandra worked at Cisco Systems in the Global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team and performed operational, partner and country audits, as well as consulting projects. Sandra also worked at NCSU in the Internal Audit Division where she performed operational audits, investigations, consulting projects and special assignments.
Sandra holds a Master of Business Administration (North Carolina State University, 2022); a Bachelor of Science (NCSU, 2015); and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
