Shanda L. Wirt

Sponsored Programs Assurance and Research Compliance Auditor

Shanda joined Duke University in 2022 as a Compliance Auditor. Prior to joining Duke, Shanda worked at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte  where she served as the Director, Contracts and Grants Office within the William States Lee College of Engineering for six years. Prior to that, Shanda  spent 17 years working at the University of Notre Dame in its Office of Research.

Shanda’s work with OARC focuses primarily on compliance assurance for Duke’s sponsored programs.

Shanda holds a Master of Business Administration (Bethel University); a Bachelor of Science (Bethel University); and is a Certified Research  Administrator (CRA; Research Administrators Certification Council)
