Associate Director, Compliance Services
Summer Webbink leads the Compliance Services group, which provides ongoing compliance oversight and annual risk assessments for the University. Compliance Services includes the following areas: dual interest (conflict of interest) assessment, case management and University hotline/incident investigation, the compliance liaison and privacy assurance programs.
Summer began her tenure at Duke as part of the University Audit team in the Office of Audit Risk and Compliance in August 2014. She transitioned to the Sponsored Programs Assurance team when it was formed in early 2016.
Prior to Duke, she was in the audit and assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP for four years. Summer enjoys learning more about her alma mater and is enthusiastic to continue collaborating with compliance partners across Duke.
Summer received her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and her Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Summer is also a certified public accountant (North Carolina).
